Day 2

Better hurry with this one, the day is almost over!
I had a great day with my daughter and my love. Brendan and I had our 2 year anniversary Sunday, but as I was gone for work 14.5 of the 24 hours in the day, we didn't do much celebrating. We decided to wait until today to celebrate because I would be off from work and today was his ONLY day off this whole week. We started the day with some family cuddle time. Gotta love the family cuddle time! I think we must have lain together snoozing and snuggling for over an hour. After we got up, we piddled around getting some things done and what not, then Brendan sprung his gift on me - a WAY AWESOME stereo amp! Now I can not only listen to the radio, but I can also LISTEN TO MY RECORDS! YAY! It was such a thoughtful gift, I couldn't have been happier. My gift to him was a little spoiled last week - I had planned on getting him a terabyte sized external hard drive, but when we went to Office Max to "look" at them (so I knew which one he wanted most), he found he couldn't live without it for another minute. So I suppose, I already got him his gift last week.
In any case...
Throughout the day we had decided we wanted to go on a date. We haven't been on a date since before we left Oklahoma and that was almost 6 months ago! I felt so happy about getting dolled up, going to a restaurant and having adult conversation with the man I love and then getting knee-deep in some adventure on the big screen. And boy was it a beautiful evening. The sun was shining, the air was clear, dinner was lovely on the deck (we were the first deck diners of the season) of The Farmhouse Restaurant, and Water for Elephants couldn't have been a better movie for our date. Romantic and drama-filled, we found ample opportunity to cuddle and comfort one another throughout the movie.
If you're ever in the mood for Cajun blackened salmon - GO TO THE FARMHOUSE! It was, seriously, the best salmon I have had at any restaurant ever.

The clock now reads 11:55pm, the clock is about to strike midnight.

Brendan, if you find yourself reading this, I love you! Thank you for a wonderful date tonight! We really should do things like that more often. And I hope you have a good day at work tomorrow.
